Air cooler is a heat exchanger that uses air to cool hot fluids. The heat flux inside the tube exchanges heat with the air outside the tube through the tube walls and fins, and the air used is usually supplied by a fan.

Air coolers are generally composed of heat exchange tube bundles, frames, fans, and accessories. According to the ventilation method, it can be divided into blast type and induced draft type; According to the cooling method, it can be divided into dry and wet types; According to the installation form of the tube bundle, it can be divided into horizontal type, inclined top type, vertical type, and inclined vertical combined type.

Air coolers are widely used in various working conditions that require cooling or condensation, such as petroleum refining, electricity, steel metallurgy, chemical engineering, etc.
