Application scenarios of heat exchangers in the steel industry
With the development of the steel industry, the process technology contained in steel mills is becoming increasingly complex. The demand for thermal energy control and transfer in high-temperature and high-pressure production processes is becoming increasingly high. 1、 Raw material pretreatment
In the production process of steel mills, many raw materials require pre-treatment, such as coal, phosphoric acid, iron ore, coke, etc. The processing of these raw materials requires high temperature and high pressure. Without suitable heat exchangers to regulate temperature and pressure, it can lead to material failure, reduce production efficiency, and waste resources.
2、 Blast furnace cooling
In steelmaking process, the cooling of blast furnace is a large heat exchanger system. By recycling high-temperature exhaust gas, heat energy is transferred to water, which is then cooled to a predetermined temperature. Afterwards, the heat energy is transferred back to the newly produced high-temperature gas using air. This can maximize the utilization of the generated exhaust gas and minimize resource waste to the greatest extent possible.
3、 Alloy heating
Heating equipment in steel mills is one of the essential devices in steel production, and the furnace material heating system is an important part of it. By adjusting the heating temperature through appropriate heating equipment and heat exchangers, the material temperature and deformation can be more accurately and effectively controlled, thereby achieving more efficient production.
4、 Waste heat recovery
During the production process of steel mills, a large amount of waste heat is generated, which is recovered through conduction and convection in heat exchangers, maximizing the utilization of waste heat and achieving energy conservation. This is not only one of the important methods for steel mills to achieve green production, but also the direction for future sustainable development.
